SEWANEE, Tenn. -- The DePauw University field hockey team dropped to 6-4 overall and 2-2 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference after falling to Sewanee, 2-1.

Allison Baccich put the Tigers ahead with a goal at the 20:49 mark in the first half off an assist from Meredith Ellis before Sewanee knotted the score with 11:48 remaining off a goal from Charlotte Baptiste.

Sewanee scored the game-winning goal in the second half as Jane Moss scored off an assist from Catherine Avery.

Sewanee outshot the Tigers, 24-8, and had a 13-6 advantage in penalty kicks.

Kaitlin Thomure recorded 13 saves for DPU while Blake Rosen had three saves for Sewanee.

The Tigers are back in action on Oct. 8 on the road at Centre.
