LIZTON - The Greencastle High School girls' swim team tallied another win on its chalk board Wednesday as it defeated Tri-West 125-87.

The Tiger Sharks swept the meet, winning every swimming event. The only event that they didn't place first in was the diving.

The 200-yard medley relay team of Kelsey Murtaugh, Alys Moore, Kendi Thomas and Ashley Allred started things off for the Tiger Sharks finishing in 2:01.00 for first place. Erica Soster followed the relay team's win with a first-place finish with a time of 2:20.60 in the 200-yard freestyle. Morgan Terry came through for the Tiger Sharks winning the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:33.67, while Murtaugh finished the first half of the meet, winning the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 28.63.

After the diving event, Greencastle stepped back into the spotlight when Moore won the 100-yard butterfly in 1:12.16 followed by Terry claiming the blue ribbon in the 500-yard freestyle event with a time of 5:54.04.

The relay team of Allred, Jeanette Jones, Moore and Liz Poor claimed the second relay win for the Tiger Sharks, winning the 200-freestyle relay with a time of 1:59.48.

After the relay, Thomas claimed another blue ribbon for her team, this time in the 100-yard backstroke. She finished the race with a time of 1:08.88. Poor wrapped up the individual events for the Tiger Sharks when she one 100-yard breaststroke in 1:31.82.

The 400-yard freestyle relay team consisting of Murtaugh, Soster, Jackie Cantonwine and Moore won with a time of 4:14.78 to complete the Tiger Sharks sweep.

According to GHS Coach Emilie Bowman, Annalise Small was the Shark of the Meet.

Greencastle is back in action on Tuesday when it hosts Bloomington North at DePauw starting at 6:30p.m.
