New school board members elected

Both North and South Putnam School Boards will be seeing new faces at the table in January and July.

In the race for North Putnam's Floyd Township member, Andrew Beck won with 401 votes while Ron Byrd received 363 votes, a difference of 38 votes.

Beck will take the place of current board member Patricia Baldwin in January.

Returning to the North Putnam School Board are Carl Blau from Clinton Township and Jon Buser from Jackson Township.

In the race for South Putnam's Jefferson Township member, Darwyn Nelson won with 158 votes against Dale Mendenhall with 144 votes and Karen Hunter with 71 votes. Nelson will take Mendenhall's place in July.

Another new face for South Putnam in July will be David Bombei from Warren Township. Bombei will take the place of current board member Howard Bowen.
