Museum, engine on 2006 ornament

The Putnam County Museum and Greencastle Fire Department's Studebaker fire truck are featured on the 2006 Main Street Greencastle holiday ornament.

The ornaments are now on sale for $10 each, with proceeds to benefit both the museum and Friends of the Greencastle Fire Department.

Ornaments are available at area merchants, and some past year ornaments are still in stock at the Main Street office. Call 653-0096 for more information.



Mom's Day Out

Junior Girl Scout troops 526 and 549 will host a Mom's Day Out at Bainbridge Community Center from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2.

Drop off is for one hour to all day. Cost is by donation only.

All proceeds will go to the Shop With A Cop program in Putnam County to purchase Christmas for children in need.

Adult supervision, snacks, lunch and activities are planned.

Here comes Santa

Children can visit with Santa Claus at his Visitors' Cove house on the south side of the courthouse square starting Saturday.

His hours are 11-2 p.m., and will continue at those times each Saturday up to Dec. 23.

He will also be in the house on Fridays from 4:30-6 p.m. starting Dec. 1
