Burdiene Modlin

Burdiene Modlin, 98, Roachdale, died Wednesday at the Waters, Greencastle.

Born in Montgomery County, she was the daughter of Walter Lee and Pearl (Prather) Riggle.

A 1925 graduate of Roachdale High School, she married Audrey Modlin at Lebanon on July 6, 1934. He preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 1987.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Roachdale Presbyterian Church, Roachdale Order of Eastern Star, Philomath Club and Bridge Club, Roachdale.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Graveside services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Roachdale Cemetery with the Rev. Alan Small officiating.

There is no visitation.
