Esther M. Danforth, 80, Reelsville, died Tuesday at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.

Born in Savannah, Ga., she was the daughter of Sidney Samuel and Susie Florine (Zettler) Moyd.

A graduate of Draughn Business College, she had been an assembler for P.R. Mallory and a homemaker.

She married Frederic A. Danforth St. on May 27, 1945. He died Oct. 13, 2006.

Surviving are two daughters, Floreen McKinley and husband Greg, Washington, and Theresa Pickett and husband Jim, Peru; two sons, Frederick A. Danforth Jr. and wife Brenda, Pontotoc, Miss., and Bruce Danforth and wife Laura, Bloomingdale; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son George Samuel Danforth, and halfsisters Hazel Ballard and Roxie Akers.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with Pastor Richard Hull officiating. Burial will be in Fertig Cemetery, Poland.

Visitation is noon-2 p.m. Saturday.
