Gay Alleen Goode

Gay Alleen Goode, 86, Greencastle, died Wednes-day at Asbury Towers Healthcare.

Born in Turley, Okla., she was the daughter of Everett and Stella Gay Priest-Brackney.

A 1938 graduate of Mooresville High School, she had been a homemaker and a member of Brick Chapel United Methodist Church.

She married Phillip "Pete" Goode on April 12, 1941. He died Oct. 28, 2000.

Surviving are a halfbrother, Jack Brackney, Greencastle; two halfsisters, Charlotte Wichmann and husband Paul, Greencastle, and Mary Anne Davis-Hayes, Oklahoma; caregiver and nephew Darrell Goode and wife Barbara, Bainbridge; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, twin sister Kaye Davis, halfbrother John Brackney and grandparents John and Mattie Priest.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, with burial in Brick Chapel Cemetery.

Services will be at noon Saturday.
