Floyd C. Troth, 89, Lebanon, died Monday at St. Vincent Hospice, Indianapolis.

Born in Boone County, he was the son of Estal E. and Esther (Willoughby) Troth.

He was a teacher for Advance High School, and was a teacher and principal at Speedway High School for more than 36 years. He was a member of Speedway Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), long-time member of Speedway Lions Club, a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader, and National Association of Secondary School Principals.

He married Erna G. Troth, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Dennis L. Troth, Greencastle, and Jack E. Troth, Dale; two daughters, Marcia Arnold, Lima, Ohio, and Cheryl Nicolet, Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen K. Troth, and daughter Karen E. Stover.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Speedway Christian Church. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery, Jamestown.

Visitation is noon-2 p.m. at the church.

Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, is handling arrangements.
