Forrest Robinson

June 1, 1924-March 21, 2007

Forrest William "Forrie" Robinson, 82, Indianapolis, died Wednesday at St. Vincent Hospital.

Born in Indianapolis, he was the son of Siwill and Mildred (Cox) Robinson.

He graduated from Shortridge High School, attended Butler University and served as a pilot in the United States Air Force. He retired from Commonwealth Life Insurance Company (formerly Empire Life and Accident) in 1989 after 47 years.

He married Betty Jo Gettig, who preceded him in death.

Surviving are a daughter, Rebecca S. Roach, Cloverdale; son F. Daniel Robinson; sibling D.J. Robinson; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and son David Alan Robinson.

A family memorial service will be conducted Monday, March 26.
