While some members of Delta Zeta sorority at DePauw University have claimed they have a reputation for academics, and don't fit the stereotype of beauty or popularity, a look at the sorority's recently overall grades shows a slightly different picture.

Delta Zeta ranks sixth among seven sororities in grade-point average in DePauw's Panhellenic Council, and the chapter's overall GPA is lower even than the campus all-women average and the all-sorority average.

Delta Zeta posted a chapter GPA of 3.25 for the fall semester, according to information posted on the university's website. The average GPA for all women on campus is 3.30. And the average for all seven sororities is 3.32.

Topping the listing of chapter GPAs was Alpha Phi sorority, with a 3.49 average. They were followed by Alpha Chi Omega at 3.42, Kappa Kappa Gamma at 3.37, Kappa Alpha Theta at 3.29, and Phi Beta Phi at 3.26. Only Delta Gamma sorority with a 3.15 GPA was lower than Delta Zeta.

On the men's side, the all-men grade-point average at DePauw is 3.12, while the all-fraternity average is 3.10.
