Shrum with Civic League secretary Lori Halloran

The Cloverdale Civic League announced the winner of its Logo Design Contest for the 2008 playground, now known as "The Clover Patch" at the Cloverdale Community Park.

Cloverdale Middle School student Sydney Shrum, daughter of Roger and Kim Shrum of Cloverdale, was chosen by the organization's majority vote.

Her name and design will be permanently placed on the playground along with kindergartner Kyla Gardner, winner of the "Naming the Play-ground" contest.

The new playground is part of a three-phase renovation project the civic league is doing at the community park. The first phase will begin this spring.
