Norman P. Jones

Norman P. Jones, 60, Indianapolis, formerly of Greencastle, died Saturday.

Born in Greencastle, he was the son of L. Wayne and Margaret Ann (Fisher) Jones.

He was employed with the Department of Correction for 20 years, and was a security guard for 10 years before retiring in 1992. He was a member of Mars Hill Free Methodist Church, Indianapolis.

Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Sharon Kay Wallace Atkinson Jones; sons, Michael S. Atkinson and wife Lisa, and Jeffrey W. Atkinson and wife Racheal; daughters Cynthia D. Atkinson and Kimberly A. Jones; father L. Wayne Jones; brother Wayne Jones; sisters Susie Osborn and husband Carl, and Jo Jones; seven grandchildren and several nieces.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Family Funeral Care, Indianapolis, with Pastor Don Meier officiating.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday.
