Mary L. Pettit

Mary L. Pettit, 69, Greencastle, died Tuesday evening at Mill Pond Health Campus.

Born in Putnam County, she was the daughter of Luther and Dorothy (Nelson) Littrell.

She had worked at the Kroger deli for 16 years and retired in 2006 from Wal-Mart Distribution, where she was an associate.

She was a member of Greencastle Christian Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Lorie Hallett and husband Shane, and Heather Whitaker and husband Craig, all of Greencastle; son Doug Pettit, Greencastle; her father, Luther Littrell, Greencastle; sister Judy Birge and husband Wally, Greencastle; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services are set for 11 a.m. Friday at Chandler-Hays Funeral Home, Greencastle, with burial in Little Walnut Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
