North Putnam tops Tigers on road

LEBANON -- The North Putnam baseball squad won a close contest with Lebanon, 2-1, Friday night as Jake Mullis combined strong pitching and plate performance to pace the Cougars.

On the mound, Mullis pitched a complete game, going for 13 strikeouts, two hits with four walks.

At the plate, Mullis provided the thunder as he connected on a homer and Kyle Rooker singled in the Cougars other run.

Mullis was 2-for-4, Jordan Berry went 2-for-2 and J.T. Francies 2-for-3.

North will host Fountain Central today in a double header starting at 10 a.m.
