Blanche Vaughn

Blanche Vaughn, 102, Greencastle, formerly of Belle Union, died Wednesday.

Born in Putnam County, she was the daughter of Robert Lee and Etta Mae McKamey Job. She married Oscar F. Vaughn on Aug. 5, 1927, and he preceded her in death on April 14, 1961.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Mingle F. Vaughn, Mt. Meridian; seven grandchildren, including Gaylord A. Vaughn and wife Becky, Eminence, Stephanie D. Hurt and husband Mike, Greencastle, Pamela A. Hammond, Greencastle, Becky A. Roach and husband Mike, Belle Union, Sam M. Vaughn, Greencastle, and Jim E. Vaughn and wife Barbara, Belle Union; 20 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert L. Vaughn and Marvin F. Vaughn, three grandchildren, and six brothers, Curtis Job, Elmer Job, Jess Job, Ralph Job, Glen Job and Ellis Job.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Rev. Jim Staggers officiating. Burial will follow at Stilesville Cemetery.

Visitation is 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
