Putnam County Jail

Five people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* Ranse Herb Agee, 55, New Castle, was booked in at 5:44 p.m. Thursday for violation of home detention. He was arrested at PCJ.

* Kasey Lynn Elam, 21, Greencastle, was booked in at 7:55 p.m. Thursday on a petition to revoke probation. She was arrested by Greencastle Sgt. Charles Inman.

* Daniel Hagan, 28, Greencastle, was booked in at 12:35 a.m. Friday for failure to appear in court. He was arrested by Sgt. Inman.

* Jeffrey Allen Crouch, 51, Greencastle, was booked in at 1:27 a.m. Friday for public intoxication. He was arrested by Officer Jeff Modlin.

* Dale Kary Williams, 31, Greencastle, was booked in at 4:32 a.m. Friday for driving while intoxicated. He was arrested by Sgt. Inman.

Sheriff's Dept.

Two accidents were investigated recently by the Putnam County Sheriff's Dept.

* At 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, two vehicles collided on Heritage Drive.

Deputy Doug Nally reported that Paul C. Baker, 41, 600 Gettysburg, Coatesville, was driving south in a 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor pulling a trailer when his vehicle was struck from behind by a 1997 Ford Ranger driven by Ashely E. Browning, 17, 275 Victory Hill, Coatesville.

Damage was estimated at less than $750.

* At 9 p.m. Thursday, a car hit a deer on CR 25 West near CR 300 South.

Deputy Adam Hull reported that Gwendolyn R. Costin, 32, 3807 S. CR 25 West, Greencastle, was driving north when a deer ran in front of her vehicle and she could not avoid the animal.

Damage was estimated at less than $750.
