Daniel Joe Minnick

Daniel Joe Minnick, 56, Brazil, died Friday morning at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born in Clay County, he was the son of Earl and Mildred (Chambers) Minnick.

A 1970 graduate of Brazil High School, he attended Barber School in Indianapolis and worked at Kroger in Greencastle for 35 years as a receiving clerk.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, past president of the park board, and a former member of the Lions Club.

On Jan. 16, 1971, he married Deanna Lee Nuckols.

He is survived by his wife; son Darren Minnick and wife Debi, daughter Danna Johnson and husband Curt; three brothers, Everett Minnick and wife Dottie, Wendell Minnick and wife Connie, and Jim Minnick and his wife Linda; sister, Susie Freeman and husband Bill; and three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at French Funeral Home, Brazil, with Pastor Tony Alstott officiating.

Burial will follow in Clearview Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
