Casino Night Sept. 7 at Walden Inn

Sunday, August 19, 2007

Get out your lucky rabbit's foot and head for the Walden Inn on Friday, Sept. 7 for the Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce's first Chamber Casino Night from 7:30 -10:30 p.m.

Open to the public and to all Chamber members, a $15 ticket gets the buyer in the door, access to appetizers, a desert bar and some starter chips.

"We are really looking forward to this event. The Chamber volunteer committee is really trying to make it as realistic as possible for those attending. We think it should be a fun way of raising funds for our Community programs and for the community contributions that we provide each year," stated Amor.

With some help from the Walden Inn's Director of Sales Bill Robinson the chamber was able to contract with an event organizer who provides all the equipment for the evening, and trains the chamber volunteers to run the games. Gamblers can play Texas Hold 'Em, Black Jack, Roulette, Craps, slot machines and more.

For every $500 in chips a person earns, they will receive a ticket which is entered into a drawing for one of several prize packages.

Helping to create the Las Vegas feel will be a large screen replay of Cher's last concert.

Donations have been received to date from Shuee & Sons, Best Buys, Plus, Martin's Emporium, Dr. Dale Oliver, Walden Inn & Conference Center, Countrywide Home Loans, Benny's Floor Coverings, Old National Bank, DePauw University, Wal-Mart Distribution, Ivy Tech Community College, National City Bank, Rossok & Co.
