Wanda Mae Grimes

Wanda Mae Grimes, 73, Greencastle, died Tuesday at her residence.

Born in Putnam County, she was the daughter of Fred Hubert and Alice Christine (Fitzsimmons) Chadd.

She had worked as an inspector with Mallory s in Greencastle. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church and the Greencastle Rebekah Lodge .

Survivors include three sons, Hank Grimes, Jewell Wayne Grimes and wife Carol, and Frank N. Charlie Grimes and wife, Angel, all of Greencastle; two daughters, Cindy Morris and husband, Brian, and Kathy York and husband Tim, both of Greencastle; brother Hubert Chadd, Greencastle;18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three grandchildren, Frank DeWayne Grimes, Bradley Gene Grimes and Jeremy Wayne Grimes.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Rev. James Palmer officiating. Burial will be in Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
