Charles Frank White Jr.

Charles Frank White Jr., 77, Greencastle, died early Saturday at St. Vincent Clay Hospital in Brazil.

Born in Greencastle, he was the son of Charles F. White Sr., and Roxie A. Brewer White.

He worked as a carpenter and was a member of Local Union 859 in Greencastle where he also served as the business representative for the union for 17 years before retiring. He belonged to the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite in Indianapolis and was a life member of the VFW.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley A. Woodworth White; son James A. White and wife Tracy, Greencastle; daughter Lisa Dawn Jordan, Crawfordsville; brother Burl E. White and wife Beverly, Brazil; two sisters, Carolyn S. White Pettit and husband Dick, Greencastle, and Wanda Jean White Johnston and husband Harry, Palm Bay, Fla.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Calvin W. White, and sister JoAnn McMillan.

At his request, his body was cremated. No services are scheduled.
