Thirteen people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* Joseph Richard Carrico, 38, no town available, was booked in at 12:37 a.m. Friday for disorderly conduct, criminal recklessness and public intoxication. He was arrested by Greencastle Officer Travis DeLaGrange. He was released at 2:38 a.m. Friday.

* Jeffrey Goins, 43, Cunningham, Ky., was booked in at 8:50 a.m. Friday for non-support of a child. He was arrested at PCJ.

* Erick D. Williams, 37, Greencastle, was booked in at 6:21 p.m. Friday for resisting law enforcement, disorderly conduct, driving while intoxicated and public intoxication. He was arrested by Deputies Josh Boller and Craig Sibbitt. He was released at 9:14 a.m. Saturday.

* Justin Stewart, 26, Gosport, was booked in at 7:29 p.m. Friday on an out-of-county hold. He was arrested by Trooper Phil Lubbers. He was transferred to Morgan County at 847 a.m. Monday.

* Joseph Edward Potora, 57, Roachdale, was booked in at 3;50 a.m. Saturday for driving while intoxicated. He was arrested by Greencastle Sgt. Charles Inman. He was released on $500 cash bond at 9:43 a.m. Saturday.

* Bradley Holsclaw, 33, Indianapolis, was booked in at 8:39 a.m. Saturday for contempt of court and non-support of a child. He was arrested at PCJ.

* Darin James Goins, 40, Bainbridge, was booked in at 3:14 p.m. Saturday for battery. He was arrested by Greencastle Sgt. Terry Eastham.

* William Max Wilson, 43, Greencastle, was booked in at 8:13 p.m. Saturday for public intoxication. He was arrested by Greencastle Officer Chris Jones. He was released at 5:19 p.m. Sunday.

* Stanley E. McKinney, 26, Roachdale, was booked in at 8:42 p.m. Saturday for driving while intoxicated, public intoxication, disorderly conduct and driving while suspended. He was arrested by Greencastle Officer Jones.

* Wes Finley, 56, Indianapolis, was booked in at 11:13 p.m. Saturday for driving while intoxicated. He was arrested by Trooper Cory Robinson.

* David H. Jewell II, 27, Greencastle, was booked in at 1:42 a.m. Sunday for driving while intoxicated. He was arrested by Deputy Gary Boler. He was released on $500 bond at 11:13 a.m. Sunday.

* William Wyatt Wilson, 20, Fort Wayne, was booked in at 5:18 a.m. Sunday for resisting law enforcement, possession of alcohol by a minor and public intoxication. He was arrested by DePauw Officer Rick Keller. He was released on $800 bond at 12:09 p.m. Sunday.

* Glenn Richard Norris, 59, Brownsburg, was booked in at 6:17 p.m. Sunday for public indecency. He was arrested by Deputy Doug Nally.

Sheriff's Dept.

Three people were booked into the Putnam County Sheriff's Dept. recently.

* At 11:10 p.m. Saturday, two vehicles collided in the drive-through at the Cloverdale McDonald's

Deputy Adam Hull reported that Phyllis M. Craig, 62, Crawfordsville, was driving a 2000 Chevrolet pickup when she started backing up. She said she did not see the vehicle behind her. Her truck collided with a 1994 Eagle driven by Debra Littig, 48, Brazil.

Damage was estimated at $750-$1,000.

* At 8:25 a.m. Thursday, a motorist swerved to miss an animal in the road and went into a ditch.

Sgt. Don Pettit reported that Stephanie Jones, 28, 348 Gettysburg, Coatesville, was driving east in a 2006 Chrysler when she swerved to miss the animal.

Her vehicle sustained an estimated $750-$1,000 damage.

* At 5:21 a.m. Thursday, a truck hit a deer on Ind. 240 near CR 550 East.

Sgt. Tom Helmer reported that Joseph M. Billingsley, 55, 2116 E. CR 125 North, Fillmore, was driving east in a 2002 Ford F150 when the deer ran into the road and he could not avoid the animal.

Damage was estimated at $2,500-$5,000.

Greencastle Fire Dept.

Greencastle firefighters handled five runs recently.

* At 11:51 p.m. Sunday, firefighters went to CR_200 South and CR_200 West near Oakalla Bridge for an auto accident. They performed general clean-up. No one was injured. They returned to station at 12:45 a.m. Monday.

* At 8:31 a.m. Monday, firefighters went to an auto accident at 312 W. Walnut St. to assist with two people injured. They returned to station at 9:05 a.m.

* At 10:29 a.m. Monday, firefighters went to 1124 Avenue D to assist Operation Life in lifting a patient. They returned to station at 10:47 a.m.

* At 12:57 p.m. Monday, firefighters assisted O.L. ambulance personnel at 108 Cassida Drive. They returned to station at 1:16 p.m.

* At 5:41 p.m. Monday, firefighters helped clean up a gas spill at 1179 Paddock Court after fuel spilled from a tank in a truck.
