Clover volleyball loses at Owen Valley

SPENCER -- The Cloverdale varsity volleyball team fell to Owen Valley in three games Tuesday by the scores of 25-19, 25-16, 25-13. The Clovers are 5-6 on the season.

Leading the Clovers in scoring was Maria Skiles with six points and two aces. Allie Franklin and Alesha Evans had four points each, while Kayla Shepherd, Ashley Koosman and Kristin McCam-mon each had one.

Koosman had eight kills, McCammon and Elizabeth Cheatham had five each and Alesha Evans, two. Skiles had nine set assists with Kaileigh Sparks at five.

Koosman and McCammon led with eight digs each. Cheatham had five blocks and one stuff.

The Cloverdale junior varsity lost in two games, 25-11, 25-9.

The Clovers are back in action at Saturday's Putnam County Tournament at North Putnam. Action begins at 9 a.m.
