Bids wanted for county E.O.C.

Pyramid Architecture/ Engineering and the Putnam County Commissioners are encouraging all local contractors to bid on the new Emergency Operations Center.

Contractors will be bidding directly to the owner and their contracts will be directly with the owner. The packages that are going out to bid are: asphalt, concrete slabs and walls, masonry, rough carpentry and framing, insulation, doors, windows, millwork and specialties, glass and glazing, acoustical ceilings, drywall, general flooring, painting, access flooring, fire protection, H.V.A.C., plumbing and electrical.

All packages will be less than $100,000 except the concrete and electrical. Therefore, no payment and performance bond will be required.

Contractors are encouraged to attend at least one of the pre-bid meetings that are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Putnam County Annex Building.

Bids are due at 2 p.m. Sept. 27 in the Annex.

Plans are available at the Putnam County Auditor's Office, the pre-bid meeting and at Pyramid's office.
