Fitness fair Saturday

Area residents are invited to enjoy healthier lifestyles through an organized health and fitness fair.

Walking for Wellness Fitness Fun Walk is art of the Putnam County Family Health and Fitness Fair, set for noon-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22 at Deer Meadow Primary School in Greencastle.

The Putnam County Family Health and Fitness Fair is a community-wide event to provide activities, tips and information to promote healthy lifestyle choices.

Wellness walkers can follow a half-mile cushiony packed stone surface, or in case of rain, a one-eighth mile indoor loop. Stroller striders and pedal pushers can follow a quarter-mile hard surface.

Participation tokens can be redeemed for reusable water bottles and healthy snacks. There is also an opportunity to sign up for walking clubs.

The event is sponsored by Greencastle School Corp. and Greencastle Civic League.
