Robert L. Gilliland

Robert L. Gilliland, 81, Greencastle, died Sunday at his residence.

Born in Montgomery County, he was the son of Leonard and Fern (Kuhns) Gilliland.

He resided in Crawfordsville and Fort Wayne before settling in Greencastle in 1959.

He retired from Public Service Indiana/Cinergy in 1993 after 34 years as a journeyman lineman. He was a member of IBEW Local 1393.

He was a World War II veteran having served two tours of duty with the U.S. Army Constabulary Forces in France and Germany from 1944-46.

Surviving is his wife Michelle.

He was preceded in death by his son R. Shane Gilliland, his brother Donald Gilliland, Crawfordsville, Father Leonard Gilliland and mother, Fern Hartman, Crawfordsville.

There will be no visitation. Date and time for a memorial service will be announced later.
