CHS defeats Bruins

CLOVERDALE -- The Cloverdale Clovers lost in three games to visiting tri-West on Thursday night. The Clovers lost 25-21, 25-20 and 25-20.

The Clovers were led by Kristin McCammon with eight points, with Ashley Koosman adding seven. Allie Franklin had five, Erica Lotz added four and Kaileigh Sparks had two.

Koosman paced Cloverdale with four kills, while McCammon and Elizabeth Cheatham added three. Kristen Schroer, Franklin and Kayla Shepard had one kill each.

Lotz had five assists, with Maria Skiles and Sparks adding three each.

Cheatham recorded two blocks and two stuff blocks to lead Cloverdale. Koosman, Schroer and Whitney Bond had two blocks each.

Koosman tallied 45 digs, with McCammon adding 27 and Franklin 26.

"We didn't pass the ball well tonight and when that happens you have a hard time attacking," head coach Kathy Moore. "It was a good match in terms of playing a good team towards the end of the season."

The junior varsity lost to the Bruins 25-22 and 25-20.
