Curtis R. Scheuermann

Curtis R. Scheuermann, 48, Greencastle, died Tues-day.

Born in Quincy, Ill., he was the son of Raymond E. and Ellen H. (Curtis) Scheuermann.

A graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute, he was an automotive diesel technician with York Automotive Group.

A member of Greencastle Christian Church, he served as a deacon, sound technician, sang in the choir and was instrumental in the Car Care Ministry providing assistance to those in need. He also served as a softball coach and scout leader.

Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Myrna; five children, Jessica H. Scheuermann and fiance Brandon Baisas; Carissa J. Scheuermann, Kyla M. Scheuermann, Brett G. Scheuermann, and Lokysa J. Scheuermann; his mother; siblings Sue Drake and husband Bob, Carla Steinbeck and husband Dan, Leisha Kelly and husband Kelly, Grant Scheuermann and wife Renaté, Eric Scheuermann and wife Karen, Sean Scheuermann and wife Michelle; a grandson, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Greencastle Christian Church, 620 Primrose Lane, with Pastor Mark Miller officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
