NP falls to speedway
SPEEDWAY -- North Putnam volleyball finished its regular season with a loss to Speedway, 25-10, 25-13, 25-17.
"Speedway has a very strong team that we were able to play with at times," Cougar coach Michelle Spencer said. "We certainly played a tough game of defense and made it hard for them to score points."
Logan Doyle led the way defensively with 16 digs. Taylor Alles chipped in with a solo block and and assist block.
Alles also had four kills. Kacy Wendling had eight assists.
The Cougars will open sectional play against Cascade at Tri-West at 6 p.m. next Thursday. Spencer is still looking for improvement from the team heading into the postseason.
"We are still trying to find the consistency it takes to win games against teams like this," she said.
The Cougar JV fell to the Sparkplugs 25-7, 25-12.
