Dump truck interrupts some cable service

Wednesday, October 17, 2007

Cable television service for customers of Insight Communications in the Greencastle coverage area was down for several hours Wednesday morning, a company representative confirmed.

Insight district vice president Wendy Henry told the BannerGraphic that there was a report of a dump truck running into some overhead lines around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Greencastle area, which caused the service to go down.

She said there were extensive repairs that had to be made to the lines and that the service was restored around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
