Jack D. Bixler, 68, Coatesville, died Tuesday at his residence.

Born in Spencer, he was the son of Louis and Ethel Douglas Bixler.

He was a press metal operator for GM Truck and Bus Division for 30 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of U.A.W.

He married Kay Mildner Underwood Bixler, and she survives.

Additional survivors include daughters Jacqueline Minnick and husband Mike, Cloverdale, Tricia Costin and husband Rob, Greencastle, and Sandra Neese and husband Jerry, Cataract; stepsons Dalon Underwood, Clayton, Darrel Underwood, Coatesville, and Devin Underwood, Greenwood; a brother, Thomas Isaac Bixler, Quincy; and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by daughter Jennifer, brother Robert, and sisters Florence and Marietta.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hays Funeral Home, Coatesville, with burial at New Winchester Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
