DPU swimmers win
Springfield, Ohio -- DePauw improved to 2-1 on the season after defeating Wittenberg, 171.5-124.5.
The Tigers started the meet by winning the 200-yard medley relay as Lindsay Riggs, Sally Tabler, Kelsey Warsinske and Katie Massey won in 1:30.50.
Amanda Stier and Maddison Hamil each won three events to lead the Tigers. Stier won the 200 butterfly in 2:10.67 as well as the 200 breaststroke in 2:35.90 and the 100 fly in 1:00.16. Hamil's firsts came in the 100 breast in 1:09.58, the 50 free in 25.63 seconds and the 100 free in 55.81.
Callie Boehme won the 1000 free in 10:56.60, while Riggs took first in the 100 back in 1:03.86 and Katie Doogan won the 200 back in 2:16.58.
The 400 free relay of Elizabeth Medlock, Stier, Doogan and Hamil won in 3:44.12 to wrap up the meet.
For the men, DePauw improved to 2-1 on the season following a 206-93 win at Wittenberg.
Rob Alexander paced the Tigers with three firsts as he won the 100-yard freestyle in 48.61 seconds, the 50 free in 22.07 and the 200 individual medley in 2:02.12.
John Cook won the 200 free in 1:48.24 and the 100 butterfly in 56.51. Five different Tigers each won one event including Gib Wallace (100 back, 56.68), Josh Baugh (100 breast, 1:02.92), Charlie Boehme (200 back, 2:03.98), Chris Granger (200 breast, 2:18.99) and Adam Wishart (3-meter diving, 233.45 points).
The Tigers wrapped up the meet by winning the 400 free relay as Greg Nowak, Steve Klabak, Gerry Wallace and Cook took first in 3:19.66.
