Charles L. Marquart

Charles L. Marquart, 79, Cloverdale, died Friday at his residence.

Born in Linton, he was the son of Albert and Elsie (Schwartz) Marquart.

A U.S. Army veteran, he had been a correctional officer at Putnamville Correctional Facility. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Cunot.

He married Wilma Jean Bennett on March 25, 1950. She survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Pamela Spiker, Center Point; sister June Marquart, Linton, and Doris Perigo, Wabash; brother Ervin Marquart and Wanda, Jacksonville, Fla.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with Pastor Wes McClure officiating.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Linton.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday.
