Snow and ice cause cancellations

All Putnam County sporting events scheduled for Saturday were either cancelled or postponed due to the winter storm that moved through the area.

As reported in Saturday's BannerGraphic, the Greencastle Wrestling Invitational has been cancelled.

The North Putnam boys' basketball game with Riverton Parke has been rescheduled until Tuesday, Dec. 18, with the junior varsity game beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Cloverdale was to host Tri-West in boys' basketball on Saturday. The game will now take place at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15.

The DePauw women's basketball game with Wittenberg will take place at 3 p.m. today.

Additionally, North Putnam schools have been cancelled for today, so tonight's North Putnam boys' freshman basketball game at Danville is currently postponed indefinitely.

As of 11 p.m. Sunday, Cloverdale and South Putnam were under two-hour delays, and Greencastle was on a regular schedule, so Monday events were unaffected.
