Habitat for Humanity appreciates support

Tuesday, January 8, 2008

To the Editor:

Ho ho ho! Lunch with Santa was a great event due to the generosity of the following sponsors and in-kind donors. Our goals were met, teaching children that giving to others is very important, that Habitat for Humanity has a mission to build houses for people in need and they now are a part of that giving. Eliminating unsafe, inadequate and unaffordable homes from our county, is our mission. The Barker family will have a zero interest, affordable mortgage this year. And Jesus is the best gift of all.

Sponsors of this day were IAC (formerly Lear), Chiyoda (dozo arigato gozaimasu), Magic Circle (Dixie Chopper), Thomas and Wagner, Whitaker Funeral Home, Ideal Homes, and Roachdale Building Supply.

In-kind donors were Random House Publishers, Teacher's Credit Union, Greencastle Music Center, Wal-Mart, Papa John's and Pizza Hut, Kroger, Martin's Emporium, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Ambler Hill, Legacy Candles, Motel Six, Almost Home, Soapy Joe's, 'Tammy' and 'Barbara', Auto Zone, Identity, York, Humphrey's, Bright Futures, Jackson's Family Restaurant, Treasures on the Square, Arby's, Dollar Tree, Dollar General and Extreme Tans.

If we inadvertently missed thanking someone please let us know.

Thank you and Happy New Year (Shinen Omedeto) to all the wonderful Habitat friends and families.
