Lucille Nicholls

Lucille Nicholls, 83, Poland, died Monday at Putnam County Hospital.

Born in Owen County, she was the daughter of Maynard and Ivy (Dillinger) Johnson.

She was a homemaker and a member of Big Walnut Baptist Church, Reelsville.

She married Fred "Mac" Nicholls Jr. on June 17, 1951. He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Fred M. Nicholls and wife Terri, Poland, and David M. Nicholls and wife Karen G., Center Point; sister Norma Jean Chiles, Cloverdale; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Evelyn Beck and Pauline Elizabeth Cochran.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with Pastor Mike Goss officiating.

Burial will be in Cloverdale Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.
