Ninth annual lawn and garden show slated March 14-15

Putnam County Master Gardeners will host the ninth annual Lawn and Garden Show on Friday, March 14 and Saturday, March 15 at the Putnam County Fairgrounds.

Members of the Master Gardeners Club will be available throughout the show and at their booth to answer general horticultural landscaping and gardening questions.

More than 30 vendors, all lawn and garden-oriented, will offer a variety of products and services, including lawn and garden tools, landscaping stone, bulbs, plants and shrubs. The vendors will also answer questions about their products and services.

Food will be served both days to benefit the Russellville Community Center.

A new amateur photography contest will also be conducted. For guidelines, contact the Extension Officer at 653-8411.

Hours of the show will be noon-8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, and the event includes free activities for children, free parking and admission, 500 trees to give away and free door prizes.
