Softball ace Boetjer inducted into Hall of Fame

South Putnam eighth-grader Brooke Boetjer displays her NSA Hall of Fame plague she received as member of the Indiana Shockwaves.

South Putnam eighth-grader Brooke Boetjer was part of the Indiana Shockwaves who were inducted into the National Softball Hall of fame on March 8.

Boetjer has helped the Shockwaves capture three NSA Class A World Series championships as well as a four-time NSA Class A State champion and a three-time Amateur Softball Association Class A State champion.

The Shockwaves is the first team to be inducted into the NSA Hall of Fame.

Boetjer has pitched every national and state championship game for the Shockwaves. In four years, the Shockwaves have amassed a record of 451-33.
