Pauline Weaver

Pauline Weaver, 81, Cottonwood Falls, Kansas, died Tuesday at the Golden Living Center of Chase County in Cottonwood.

Born in Greencastle, she was the daughter of Ralph and Nellie Parrish Bixler. She married Dwight Weaver on Feb. 23, 1951, at Marion, Kansas. He preceded her in death on Aug. 19, 1999.

She was a homemaker and also worked as a certified nurse's aide at Beverly Enterprise nursing facility in Cottonwood Falls.

She was a charter member of KFDI Country Club.

Survivors include two sons, Roger L. Weaver, Cottonwood Falls, and Steven C. Weaver, Colorado Spring, Colo.; a daughter, Roberta L. Souders, Wheeling, Mo.; a step-son, DeWayne D. Weaver of Arizona; a sister, Katherine Simmerman, Greencastle; a half-brother, Arthur Synder, Brazil; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by step-daughters JoAnn Archer and Carolyn Thornton, sisters Annie Hunter, Ellie Bixler and Ruth Addy, brothers Ralphie Bixler and Robert Bixler.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, March 15 at Prairie Grove Cemetery in rural Cottonwood.
