Public input sought for upcoming bridge projects in county

Thursday, March 20, 2008

The Indiana Department of Transport-ation will be conducting a public meeting to receive input on applications from counties that applied for federal funding for local bridge projects to be considered for the selection in the 2008 Official Call for Projects.

The purpose of these meetings is to allow counties to provide information about local bridge projects that will be considered for the 2008 program.

Projects that are selected become eligible to receive funds from the Federal Highway Administration which are administered by INDOT.

The public meeting to consider Putnam County's projects will be held at 9 a.m. today. The meeting will take place at INDOT's Crawfordsville District Materials and Testing building directly behind the District Office, 41 West 300 North.

Any interested person may attend this meeting. The local officials and or their consultants may discuss the proposed project(s) with the District Project Evaluation Committee at that time.

For more information, contact Debbie Calder at 765-361-5236 or by email at dcalder@indot.in.gov.

  • It would have been more useful to have gotten this information days before the meeting time instead of the day of.
