Care Net Pregnancy Center plans annual dinner April 10

Care Net Pregnancy Center of Putnam County will host its 15th annual fundraising dinner, Thursday, April 10.

The dinner will be held at DePauw University in the Ballroom of the Student Union Building. CPC's keynote speaker for the event, Dr. Julie Parton, served with Focus on the Family as Director of the Pregnancy Resource (CPC) Ministry beginning in 1998.

Prior to her position with Focus on the Family, Julie lived in Dallas, Texas, where she served as Executive Director of the Prestonwood Pregnancy Center.

In 1990, Julie helped organize and start this center while also assisting other groups in stating their own centers. She was the Director of Education and Wellness at the Minirth-Meier Clinic in Richardson, Texas before working with the Prestonwood Pregnancy Center.

Julie also spent 15 years with the Dallas' Bible Study Fellowship as a discussion leader and later as a teaching leader. Julie earned her PhD in Christian counseling from Andrew Jackson University in Birmingham, Alabama, and a Master's in counseling from the University of North Texas.

She also has an undergraduate degree from Rice University. Tickets for the event are complimentary, however an opportunity to support CPC financially will be presented.
