SPEEDWAY -- The North Putnam softball team extended its win streak to three games and completed a sweep of Speedway with a 3-1 win Tuesday evening.

In the second night of playing the Sparkplugs, Cougar coach Jim Brothers said the Speedway hitters were starting to figure out freshman pitcher Taylor Judy. However, the Cougar defense took care of business.

"We played really solid defense. We really backed up Taylor well," coach Jim Brothers said.

Judy allowed just four hits and a walk while striking out seven. The one run came on back-to-back doubles in the seventh.

North Putnam (3-2, 2-2 WCC) picked up four hits, led by Dakota Malayer's double. Ashley Curry had the lone RBI for North, as the other two runs were scored on errors.

North Putnam hosts Western Boone in a double header at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
