May 10 benefit for Roachdale woman

Monday, April 28, 2008

Friends and family of Tracey Adams have invited everyone to attend a benefit dinner May 10 at 5 p.m. at Roachdale Elementary School for Adams.

Diagnosed with progressive Stage 4 cancer last year, Adams is dealing with her second round with the disease. She is currently under doctors care and unable to work which has caused a financial strain on her family. Roachdale Elementary is pulling together to help Adams and her family with the fund-raising event in May.

A pork barbeque dinner, weekend get away raffle, auction, karaoke contest and face-painting will all be part of the event.

Cost for dinner is $5 for adults and $2 for children.

For those who cannot attend and would like to show support, donations may be dropped off at Tri-County Bank. Checks can be made out to "For the Benefit of Tracey Adams."

Auction items are also being accepted and can be dropped off any time during school hours at Roachdale Elementary.

  • I cannot attend, but I'll go one better: I'll pray for Tracey!
