MONROVIA -- The Greencastle softball team scored eight runs on only six hits Tuesday night to defeat Monrovia 8-2 in a WCC matchup.

The Tiger Cubs (9-5, 5-2 WCC) scored one run in each of the first three innings before adding four in the fourth and three in the sixth.

"It seems we make the most of our at bats," GHS coach Dave Keller said.

Mallory Miller tossed a complete game for the Cubs, allowing two runs on three hits and four walks. She struck out seven Bulldog batters.

Briana Baker hit a home run for GHS. Miller added a double. Veronica Sawyer added a pair of singles, while Hannah Spencer and Cassie Alspaugh each had a single.

"It was a good conference win," Keller said. "We just want to take care of business this week. We don't want to let up tomorrow."
