Michael Rumley and J.T. Chadd

J.T. Chadd and Michael Rumley were inducted into the GGUSBC Youth Hall of Fame at the Youth Banquet on April 27.

Chadd and Rumley have bowled on Saturdays in the youth leagues for a number of years. They have both worked at the bowling center for the last two years.

This year, when the Putnam County High School Bowling Program was started, both young men participated on their school teams. On the first day of competition, Rumley started his first game with nine strikes and rolled a 277, the highest score for a youth bowler at Alex Alleys. Chadd was the sectional champion in the singles competition and competed in the regionals.

Chadd is enrolled for the 2008 fall term at Butler University. He has also received scholarships from the Bob Hampton Scholarship Fund and the GGUSBC Scholarship Fund.

Rumley is planning to go to a trade school.

"These two and all our youth bowlers are the future of our sport and we are very proud of all of them," GGUSBC Association Manager Lucille Liebert said.
