Putnam County Jail
Several people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.
* Leo Reed, 55, Indianapolis, was booked at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday for failure to appear.
* Kenneth Harper, 50, Indianapolis, was booked at 1:55 p.m. for operation while suspended.
* Brittany Graves, 18, Greencastle, was booked at 2:15 p.m. for possession of a controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine.
* Anthony Piper, 32, Terre Haute, was booked at 2:30 p.m. for possession of methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance.
* Robert Price, 29, Rosedale, was booked at 4:01 p.m. for possession of methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance.
* Dustin McCombs, 20, Terre Haute, was booked at 4:19 p.m. for possession of methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance.
* Adam Potts, 25, Greencastle, was booked at 5:17 p.m. as part of a petition to revoke probation.
* Deanna Walton, 33, Greencastle, was booked at 9:37 p.m. for domestic battery.
* Robert Shaner, 23, Fillmore, was booked at 10:31 p.m. as part of a petition to revoke probation.
* Hope McCombs, 26, Greencastle, was booked at 4:14 a.m. Wednesday for battery.
* William Dower, 46, Greencastle, was booked at 8:46 a.m. for violation of probation.
Sheriff's Department
Two accidents were reported recently by the Putnam County Sheriff's Department.
* On May 27 at 7 a.m., Jennifer Johns, 38, Greencastle, was on C.R. 880 West when a deer ran in front of her and she was unable to avoid hitting it.
Damage was estimated between $750 - $1,000.
* At 5:11 p.m., Donald Sample, 30, Greencastle, was eastbound on C.R. 1275 South when a deer ran in front of him. In an effort to avoid hitting the deer, he swerved and went through a creek and hit a tree head-on. He was air lifted to an Indianapolis hospital.
Damage was estimated between $750 - $1,000.
