GORHAM

Richard "Dick" Leon Gorham, 73, of Bemidji, Minn., died Monday, June 9, 2008 at his home in Bemidji.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, June 14, 2008 at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji with Rev. David Lang officiating.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, June 13, 2008 at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be at the South Arm Cemetery in Turtle River Township, Minn. under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

Mr. Gorham was born on Nov. 24, 1934, in Greencastle, the son of Albert and Alberta (Phillips) Gorham.

He was raised and educated in Fillmore. After graduation he worked for IBM in Greencastle for 20 years. He married Myrna Duncan on May 12, 1962, in Indianapolis.

His family moved to Tenstrike, Minn. in 1973 where he owned and operated the Tenstrike bar for three years. After selling the bar, he began running heavy equipment working on road construction. In 1982 he began work for North American Coal and moved to North Dakota. He retired in 1994. He moved back to Bemidji in 1997.

He loved to hunt and fish. He was an avid NASCAR fan. He enjoyed country music and is a lifetime member of the Lorrie Morgan fan club.

He is survived by: wife, Myrna Gorham of Bemidji; daughter, Vickie (David) Lang of Springfield, Mo.; sons, Rick (Korleen) Gorham of Coatsville, David Gorham of Roosevelt, Minn., Jim Gorham of Bismarck, N.D.; four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Casketbearers will be Rick Gorham, David Gorham, Jim Gorham, Eldon Leino, Leroy Anderson, and Dennis Grimes.
