Wayne C. Stockall

Wayne C. Stockall, 62, of Crawfordsville, died Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette.

Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, he was the son of Charles "Fred" and Jennie (Kerr) Stockall. He married Janet D. Batta on July 15, 1967 in Otterbein.

He was a 1964 graduate of Crawfordsville High School and attended the Indiana Business College in Lafayette. He was on the board of directors of the Linden Railroad Museum and had been a member of the National Guard in Lafayette.

Mr. Stockall owned the Stockall Safe & Lock Co. in Crawfordsville since 1984. He lived in Crawfordsville most of his life.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Gary and daughter-in-law Kristy, of Greencastle, and Eric W. Stockall, of Denver, Colo.; a brother, Ron Stockall and wife Karole, of Casa Grande, Ariz.; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Allan.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville, with Rev. Terry Thompson officiating.

Calling is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oak Hill North Cemetery in Crawfordsville.
