Harold Roe

Harold R. Roe, 78, of Bainbridge, died Saturday morning at the Waters of Greencastle.

He was born Aug. 29, 1929 near North Salem to Emory and Katie Irene Lively Roe. He married Anna M. Noll on Sept. 6, 1962 at Beaumont, Texas. She preceeded him on Jan. 2, 1997.

He was a member of the Eagles Lodge at Greencastle.

He was a self-employed electrician and in heating and cooling and he owned and operated the Indiana Motel in Bainbridge until retirement. He also worked for the town of Bainbridge.

Stationed in Europe, he served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by one son, Harold E. "Sonny" Roe of Roachdale; two daughters, Janet Wallace of Fillmore, and Lori "Edward" Shuck of Greencastle; granddaughters Heather Durham, Amy Baker, Lindsay and Sydni Fisher; two great-grand daughters, one great-grand son; four sisters, Lenora Alspaugh of Brazil, Sharon "Gary" Wallace of Bainbridge, Wanda "Dean" Wehrman of Greencastle, Jacqueline Calvert of Missouri; also the loving, caring staff and residents of the Waters of Greencastle and Horizon Hospice.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Roger and Terry Roe, two brothers, James and Emery "Bud" Roe, and son-in-law Donald Wallace.

Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Servies & Morgan funeral home in Roachdale with Rev. Alan Small Officiating. Burial will be in Roachdale Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
