Christian Lee Pitts of Greencastle and Rodney Phillip Crum of Kingman were united in marriage at Peace Lutheran Church, Greencastle, on July 19, 2008.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Sue Pitts of Greencastle. She graduated from South Putnam High School in 2002 and Indiana State University in 2008, where she earned a dual degree in elementary and special education.

She is currently employed as a first grade teacher at Turkey Run Elementary School.

The groom is the son and Dennis and Christine Crum of Kingman. He graduated from Turkey Run High School in 2000 and Danville Area College in 2003 with a degree in agricultural business. He is employed as a custom applicator with Ceres Solutions.

Maid of honor was Holly Pitts, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Diana Weatherly, friend of the bride and cousin of the groom; Nichole Crum, sister-in-law of the groom; and Andrea Sitton and Anne Marie Hill, friends of the bride.

Best man was DeWayne Crum, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Ben Craycraft, Ryan Hicks, Bruce Patton and Jeff Stevens, friends of the groom.

Flower girls were Alex and Drew Steffy. Ring bearer was Evan Steffy.

The Rev. Alan Barber officiated the double-ring ceremony. Soloist was David Pienta, who sang "From this Moment" and "The Lord's Prayer," and Elaine Hoffman was the organist. Scriptures I Corinthians 13:4-8 and Psalms 37:3-4 were read by Bailey and Molly Waterhouse, cousins of the bride.

Ushers were Phil Woods and Zach Weatherly. The guest book was attended by Mikaela Waterhouse Cassie Hart, cousins of the bride, and Erin and Jenna Crum, cousins of the groom.

The bride wore a strapless, satin ivory and champagne ball gown designed by Oleg Cassini. The gown had a crystal-beaded lace bodice, cinched sweetheart bust, pick-up skirt with peek-a-boo lace trim and a chapel-length train.

She wore a matching crystal-beaded veil, also designed by Cassini.

The maid of honor and bridesmaids wore satin oasis (teal) two-piece, sleeveless gowns with crystal beaded empire waists, sweetheart necklines and trumpet skirts.

The flower girls wore sleeveless, satin ivory ball gowns with champagne-colored satin sashes.

A reception and dinner dance followed the wedding. It was held at the Ballroom of the Memorial Student Union Building at DePauw University.

The couple resides in Kingman.
