TERRE HAUTE -- The struggles continue for the Cloverdale girls' golf team. The Clovers fell to West Vigo by eight strokes, 216-224 Thursday.

The Clovers were led by Kayla Langdon's 48, with Elizabeth Wiley adding a 55. Victoria Boyette was close behind with a 57 and Erica Looper carded a 64.

"Kayla and Elizabeth both had more difficulties off the tee than they expect of themselves," CHS head coach Ken Williams said. "They both had improved fairway shots over recent outings."

Williams also commended Boyette and Looper for their improved play over the past few weeks.

"Victoria and Erica had several good shots and their improved scores indicate that. Hopefully, we are getting to the point where we expect more consistensy of everyone," Williams commented.

The Clovers will be on the road to face Southmont at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
